Screenings

Early speech and language screenings are crucial to early identification of communication needs. Schools and preschools may request screenings for their young learners to gather more information on how to better support their students.

Speech and language screenings typically last between 15-20 minutes. Juniper's screenings use standardized measures paired with observation to determine if further evaluation is indicated. Through screenings we can identify needs in the areas of speech sounds, expressive language, receptive language, fluency (stuttering), and pragmatic language (social communication).

Screenings include a recommendation for next steps, a short report, and consultation follow-up with parents and teachers.

Consultations

Consultations may be requested to observe a child in a different environment, outside of their normal therapy time. They may also be used to attend IEP meetings upon request of parents. Consultations are offered as a service to families as a means to encourage continuity of care and help with real-time problem solving.

In-Services

Whether you're a provider, parent, or professional, an in-service could be helpful for your staff, community, or your child's communication partners. In-services are offered in-person in the Denver area or through teletherapy if you're located elsewhere.
