I value the importance of continually growing as a therapist through evidence-based practice and collaboration in order to support those with communication disorders through a strengths-based, child-centered approach. My goal is to help your child grow through communication by tapping into their interests and passions.
Since graduating from the University of Central Arkansas with a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, I have gained experience working in public schools, center-based programming, mental health programs, pediatric clinics, and early intervention.
Through these experiences, I have found my specialty working with those with social communication and language disorders including those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Developmental Delays, and Intellectual Disabilities. I have also found my speciality working with those with speech sound disorders, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech. I have experience completing AAC evaluations for funding and supporting the determination process. I have also been a part of trans-disciplinary teams diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder and Dyslexia. Other experiences and trainings include literacy interventions (Orton-Gillingham Yoshimoto) and child-adolescent stuttering.
While not doing all things SLP, I spend my time loving Colorado for all it is worth. With my golden retriever, Magnolia, I love hiking, running, rock climbing, camping, road tripping, and taking in that fresh mountain air. On the other hand, I love living in the city and being able to walk to my favorite spots. Ask me about playing soccer, gardening, and what I've recently baked or cooked- these are a part of my weekly routine!
